The Lake Lyle Pheasant Pot Pies II Page This recipe originated from our good friends, the Longstreets. Naturally their recipe didn’t have quite enough stuff …. SO I added a couple dozen and tried it. Our first attempt at making Pheasant Pot pies was quite the undertaking - we created a great recipe and defined a system that only a true-hearted Pheasant Pot Pie Builder (PPPB) would consider to embark on. Steps for this masterful first under taking, aka Pheasant Pot Pie I, has been preserved and can be viewed at Pot Pies I but I recommend using the recipe below. As the years passed and many bellies filled by the wonderful flavors of pheasant swimming amongst the veggies and gravy within the crusted walls of the pie tin, minor modifications naturally made their appearance into the original recipe of good ole Pot Pie I. I believe we have reached the threshold of a printable recipe which I have defined as the Ultimate - Pheasant Pot Pie II. Once you have made and tasted a Pheasant Pot Pie II, it will be next to impossible to give any of them away. Enough yackin.. Let’s cook, let’s eat…..
