The Lake Lyle  Fish Bake 2 Page

This page is to show ya all just how to make another one of the best tasting things you will ever swoller, FISH BAKE 2.  This recipe came from our good neighbor, Debbie, and runs a close contest to the FISH BAKE 1 recipe! 

Let's Cook and Let's Eat..

 

Step01 - Layout the supplies.

10oz Asparagus Spears cut into 1 inch pieces (2 1/2 cups)

1 1/2 lb Walleye fillets

6 tbs Butter

1 Medium Onion finely chopped

1/3 cup Flour

1 cup Milk

1 1/3 cup shredder Cheddar Cheese

1/4 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Pepper

1 cup crushed soda chrackers

Step02 - In a glass 9 x 13 baking dish, layer Asparagus

Step03 - Layer with Walleye fillets

Step04 -  Melt 3 tbs of Butter

Step05 -  Add chopped Onion and cook slowly for 3-5 miinutes

Step06 -  Add in the Flour.  Stir continuously for 2 minutes

Step07 -  Blend in the Milk. Stir and cokk for 3-5 minutes.

Step08 -  Add the cheese, salt and pepper

Step09 -  Once the cheese is melted, cover fish with sauce.

Step10 -  Melt remaining 3 tbs of Butter

Step11 -  Add crushed crackers.  Stir to coat.

Step12 -  Spread crackers over top of sauce

Step13 -  Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.  let stand 10 before serving.

Then dig in !
