The 2000 Lake Lyle Opener Results
Decker remains unchallenged in 2000

The unseasonable warm weather coupled with blue skies, calm winds, and the after effect of the 'Friday night Festivities' left Dick Decker of Huron unchallenged and the undisputed heavyweight Lake Lyle bag limit trophy holder of the world. He did it again - congratulations Dick!
It didn't take the boys long to utilize the near-prefect weather conditions and drum up a trap shoot. Heckling, coughing, trick throws, alliances & easy throws, ... all legal in this event. It didn't seem to matter, Terry Understock of Sioux Falls, tossed all distractions aside, posted a perfect score and took home the cash. Christmas does come early for some. Just a reminder, this event was dropped from the Lake Lyle books years ago because you-know-who always you-know-what'd.

A special thanks goes out to the following for their contributions to this year's event:
John & Abby Jackson, Ricky, Dave Grace, Orange, Dave & Chris Patek, Gary Delvo, Dick Decker, Carey Hofer, Larry & Nancy Longstreet, and especially to Billy & Karen Sunderman for the great signs and tons of beer!
Now, sit back an enjoy the following captured moments:
1. Group picture - thanks Ricky.
2. Group picture - thanks Diane & Mary.
3. I don't have a problem ........ with male pattern baldness.
13. Saturday night mass available.
14. Three, three, three mints in one.

It's a happy group. What's Chris getting ready to do?

One more time.... Nice face on Ricky.

No hair loss problem with this boy! Lyle of Lake Lyle waiting on photo session.

Let the festivities begin! Abby, Kent, Bob, Di, Mary, and Chris enjoying the music.

Stuck on lip-rocks. Chris, Diane, Mary, and Bonita demonstrate lip-rock attire.

"Pals" the best picture of all.... Ricky, Ralph, Med and a Ford Truck.

Let the feast begin. The hog roast was another success. Always clean your paws before eating.

Free boat rides were offered on the mighty sea-worthy vessel.

A handfull of LakeLyle-ets set sail on a 3 hour tour.

Kick back and relax. Abby, Diane, and Nancy enjoy the voyage.

The 3 hour tour included a stop at the ole country school house. Here, 4th thru 8th grade teacher, Miss Chenoweth, demands total attention. Those who disobey are punished much like Abby whom got caught talking.

Class of '2000 LLCS (Lake Lyle Country School ).

Just up the hill from the school house is a restored church.

Bergstrom looking for a date.
