The Lake Lyle  Egg Bake Page

This page is to show ya all just how to make a breakfast dish that will stick to ya all day and is definitely the right way to start a day, the Egg Bake.

Step 01 - Start with your cutting board filled with about 1/2 white onion, a handful of freshly chopped mushrooms, and here I used a stick of celery ( I prefer green peppers but I was fresh out on this morning ).  Other ingredients include:

4-6 slices of bacon

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup of sour cream

5-6 hard boiled eggs ( pealed )

1 medium package of graded cheese

Step 02 - Cook up about 4-6 slices of bacon. Ya want the bacon crisp enough to crumble.

Step 03 - Set the bacon aside to cool and drain..

Step 04 - Drain the bacon grease saving about 1 tsp to lightly cook the onions, mushrooms & celery.  Do not over cook. When soft, add a can of cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4-1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/2 the bag of graded cheese.  Lightly mix and let simmer.

Step 05 - Next, slice up the hard boiled eggs so that they form rings.

Step 06 - Carefully add the egg slices to the mixture. Try not to break the egg rings.

Step 07 - After mixture has had a chance to heat, pour into a baking dish and cover with remaining cheese..

Step 08 - Then top off by crumbling bacon bits on top.

Step 09 - Bake at 350 for about 25-30 minutes or until you see the cheese boil.

Step 10 - Ahhhhhh serve over toast. How can ya beat a breakfast like that?

  Just eat  it
