"Meat" the 2003 bosses........

How's about a closer look...... ( I haven't named them yet but its coming ! )

This year we have 4 critters again.  They were held over for us from the Russ Layton Cattle Ranch.  These critters are once again very fancy, extremely mild, real heavy, and ARE the best we've ever had at ll.com.

The following tables are our costs for this year. I'm hoping the initial 37.00 per half cames out to be real close.  I will feed these critters all the way through the summer vs our past feeding programs of feeding only the last 120 days.  When the last batch of corn is done, so are the critters - they is going in.  I figure this year we might get them in a little earlier then last year so it could be about the beginning of Oct and processing should be complete 2-3 weeks after.  I'm taking them  to the same  locker plant in Iroquois as last year.  Keep in mind butchering costs will be about 27 to 30-some cents a pound plus killing costs of about 15.00 per head.  I expect each of the owners to make their arrangements to pickup the processes beef and pay for butchering costs.  I should have the hanging weight a day or two after I take them in, with that weight we should be able to figure butchering costs.
